Part villages
Part of the village, not all of it
Every town planning scheme sheet in Dholera names the villages it takes land from, and every one of them calls them part villages. Not one says how much of each village is inside. That gap is the single most consequential silence in these documents.
A scheme boundary does not follow village boundaries. It is drawn across the landscape where the planners want roads and blocks to go, so it cuts through villages rather than around them.
That is what part village means. Some of the village is inside the scheme and some is outside, and the two halves are in completely different positions. Land inside will be redrawn and a share of it taken. Land outside will not.
So being told your village is in scheme 3 tells you almost nothing about your plot. 14 of the twenty two villages are named on at least one sheet, and for none of those 14 does any document we hold say which part is in.

Only four of the eight scheme records carry a village list at all. For schemes 2, 4, 5 and 6 there is no list anywhere in our documents, so an absence from this table proves nothing either way.
The number nobody publishes
The last column below is the one that would actually help you, and it is empty for every single village. Nothing in our documents gives the hectares of a village inside a scheme, or the percentage, or a list of the survey numbers involved.
We will not estimate it from the maps. The scheme drawings carry a printed warning that they must not be used for measurements, so a figure derived that way would look authoritative and mean nothing.

The eight villages no sheet mentions
These villages are inside the region declared in 2009, but no scheme sheet we hold names them. Read that as a gap in the paperwork rather than as a fact about the land. Four schemes carry no village list at all, so any of these could sit inside one of them.
If you are looking at land in one of these villages, the absence of its name from every scheme sheet is not reassurance. It means this record cannot tell you, and the authority can.
What to do with this
- A village name is not a location. Ask which survey number the land is, not which village it is in.
- Ask whether that survey number falls inside a sanctioned scheme, and ask for the document that says so.
- Remember that only one Dholera scheme in our documents has a complete signed sanction, which is set out on the sanction page.
